Ascom · Nurse Call
Telligence for hospitals
Designed for your hospital.
Product information
Overview
Telligence is Ascom's enterprise nurse-call platform for hospitals — from critical-access facilities to large multi-site health systems. IP-based and vendor-agnostic: it integrates with other vendors' medical devices, PBXs, and EHR systems rather than locking a hospital into an Ascom-only stack.
How it works
How the System Works
In the room
A patient presses the call button on their Bed Module (or pulls the cord in the bathroom), or staff uses a Door Module in a hallway or common area.
Above the door
The Dome Light lights up in a color and pattern that shows staff the type and urgency of the call, visible from down the hall.
Across the unit
The call travels over the facility's network through the Gateway, which connects every room into the system.
At the nurse station
The call appears on the Nurse Station display, sorted by priority and wait time, so staff always know what needs attention first.
Two-way from the start
With a Speaker or a Voice-variant Bed Module, staff can talk to the patient immediately, before anyone walks to the room.

System components
System Components
Telligence is built from seven components that work together across every room on a unit.

Bed Module
Large backlit call button patients can find in the dark, plus reading-light and room-light control from the bed. Magnetic connector detaches safely if pulled, protecting the cable.

Speaker
Gives a room two-way voice with the nurse station, so staff can check in without entering.

Door Module
A customizable button panel for hallways, common areas, and staff rooms — wherever a call point is needed but a full bed module isn't.

Dome Light
The visual signal above the door that shows staff at a glance which room needs help and how urgent it is, without having to check a screen.

Pull Cord
Puts emergency help within reach in bathrooms and other wet areas, with a safety-break design and a secondary lower pull for someone who's fallen.

Nurse Station
Desktop touchscreen console with handset and hands-free speaker.

Gateway
The bridge that connects every room on a unit to the hospital's network and phone system, keeping nurse stations, mobile devices, and reporting in sync in real time.
